This full kundalini yoga kriya will help you breathe deeply and breathe easier. The postures connect you to the lung and heart meridians allowing the prana and breath to fill the body and lungs. Then we work to quickly distribute the energy throughout the whole body. Give yourself the opportunity to experience this beginner friendly, short series of exercises!
We work to warm up the body with a couple of exercises that move the body. Then we get into the 3 posture kriya, kundalini yoga set. The first posture connects us to the lung and heart meridians of the body, energizing them. Then we breathe deeply to expand the lung capacity and to bring more prana or life force into the body. We finish by expanding the prana and moving it around the body so that all parts are energized. Pumping the navel also strengthens and loosens the diaphragm muscle, which helps us to breathe better.
The breath helps to regulate the mind, to bring calm to the mind. We also benefit from the breath by helping the glandular system work better when we take time to slow our breathing down. Breathing in for 20 seconds, holding the breath for 20 seconds and exhaling for 20 seconds is an ideal. We can work up to that slowly, starting with 6-10 seconds for each section, keeping them equal.
Breathe deeply, breathe easier and we will see your peaceful face at the end of this video! Wahe Guru, blessings.
